Introduction

Welcome to pTIFFdb -- Parabola's Toronto International Film Festival Database! For the latest TIFF news and updates to pTIFFdb, see the relevant blog entries of the main site.

While the initial idea behind pTIFFdb was for my friends and I to rank our film selections and manage our viewing schedule, I'm hoping others will find it useful as well. Besides serving as a quick & easy-to-use database of the films being screened, registered users will also be able to access features to personalize the site. Currently, this includes:

• Film rankings: from 'Not interested' to 'Must see!', this helps you keep track of what looks promising -- or not so much
• Showtime selections: save the showtimes of films you're definitely going to see
• More search options: this includes filtering by your rankings or selected showtimes. Display only your selected showtimes for a personalized schedule ... or have them highlighted within a larger listing by date & time to help fill in the gaps. Lots of useful possibilities!
