There aren’t many scenarios I can envision where I’m at home with “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” blaring from my computer speakers. Perhaps there’s only one such scenario, which would be tonight while listening to an unofficial Gilmore Girls soundtrack I came across and downloaded. Anyway, the trip to Waterloo was fun. We didn’t really know what to expect hanging out at the house of a couple of CS profs, but it turned out to be a good time. Their [...] My entire television watching schedule for the night was based on the projected time necessary to get my laundry from the dryer to my apartment. It was determined that this time would be longer than a standard commercial break. A big thing is to get this place kitty-friendly, as I’m coming back from London this weekend with my brother’s two cats, Mojo and MJ. Since Lisa is really allergic, they’ve been temporarily [...] The dance is tomorrow. She’s a cheerleader, you’ve seen Star Wars 27 times. You do the math. I just couldn’t resist, and I finished off the last four episodes of Freaks and Geeks last night. What an awesome show, I can’t believe I missed it when it originally aired back in ‘99-’00. I’ve heard [...] I’ve been home for a week now, and I think I’m comfortably out of school mode now. The last couple weeks of the term seemed to pass by in an odd haze. I wasn’t completely focused on studying or school work, but not really all that concerned with it and still getting it [...] I’ve been meaning for months to give some space to a great band called Rilo Kiley (also see here). Alright, here’s the deal: I was going through a phase of downloading “unofficial” soundtracks a while back, and someone had put together the “Ultimate Buffy the Vampire Slayer” collection. Series premieres to note: Amazing Race 6 (CBS) Sept. 25 If there’s one thing better than watching a TV show at your leisure on a high quality DVD release, it’s that you can string them together and have your own little marathons. About a week ago I polished off the final ten episodes of Gilmore Girls season 1 within a 24 hr period, more [...] I just finished watching the final two episodes of Kingdom Hospital. Although I stuck with it I have to say that, in the end, it was rather mediocre. The four or five week hiatus didn’t help with momentum, and the final episode was overly bloated. Too much re-used footage. I also [...] While watching the third season of Alias this past year, it cemented a place at the top of my must-watch list. As a testament to how entertaining it really is, I didn’t even notice that it was a relatively disappointing season. This hit home when I bought the first season on DVD and watched it [...] I’m such a slacker. That doesn’t quite describe it. I have zero motivation for the material I have due next week. I finished off one report on Thursday, and did a good chunk of the group one (I’m fairly certain it hasn’t been touched by my group members since e-mailing it to them Tuesday night) [...] I was talking to Lin the other night, and she was shocked to realize that I’ve never met her good friend JoJo. They take similar classes and are on stream with each other, so it’s strange that I haven’t bumped into her by now. So I referred to her as “Polkaroo.” Now it was [...] I will shred my adversaries. I’ll pull their eyes out just enough to turn them towards their mewling, mutilated faces. I missed the Angel series finale while away in Montreal.
