I love how that Iranian newpaper is having a competition for Holocaust cartoons. They obviously don’t get it — is anyone going to care beyond the spectacle of it now? Anyone can say anything they want if they want to sound like an idiot. And then people are free to judge them as such. So, don’t like the caricatures? Cancel your Danish newspaper subscription and write a letter to the editor. They clearly don’t read too many Western newspapers and see how often all religions are (sometimes rightly, sometimes wrongly) insulted.

I do admire that some countries stick to their principles, as illogical as they are, and cut off trade with Denmark over the differences. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could look past the $$ and stick it China, various Middle East oil producing states, and any number of other countries until their human rights standards were raised to acceptable levels? Of course I’m a hypocrite and consume as much as the next person.
