Typing is weird right now — my hand is feeling somewhat numb. My team at work went out for an xmas lunch, followed up with a few games of bowling. My first game was pretty sad, somewhere in the 80s. The second was much more competitive, with the top four of us separated by three points. In the final one, I got on a roll and then after a strike in the ninth frame I closed out the tenth with two strikes and a nine! I don’t know where that came from, but it was good enough for best score on the day and the highest overall total. It sure didn’t start well, but I’m nothing if not adaptable.
Speaking of work, a couple of weeks ago I got a contract extension through the end of April. Hopefully in the next few months things will work out so that a permanent spot will be up for grabs, which I should have an inside track on. If not, then at least I’ll have some buffer employment until I find something else.
