I came across a couple of stories this past week related to abortion. The events are actually 40+ years apart, but the similarity that made me take notice was the upbraiding from the anti-abortion camp. In 1962, Sherri Finkbine (of Romper Room) decided to have an abortion after finding out she had been exposed to [...] I was reading this interesting article about the success of the Smart car in Canada. I didn’t realize it wasn’t available in the US, but as this quote from the story suggests, it’s probably not what Americans are looking for: The entry-level auto segment – from subcompacts like the Smart to cars like the Toyota [...] The various branches of government are really taking an interest in me lately. I’m now being partially audited: nothing major, I just had to fax in my tuition receipt. Still though, it would give me pause were I the suspicious type. The last episode of Six Feet Under was fantastic. I find finales are often a let down, but I think series mastermind Alan Ball sent the show off on a perfect note. Needless to say, there may be spoilers in my comments. Even if the show had ended with Claire driving away, it would [...] A plan has formed. The series finale of Six Feet Under is downloading now. If I wake up at six, I will have plenty of time to watch it before heading off to work and still making it to the office at 9.
