My survival analysis midterm a couple of days ago was officially craptacular; probably one of the worst midterms I’ve written. And it’s not because it was hard, since honestly I thought it wasn’t that bad at all. I messed up by spending too much time on the first question (and correcting silly mistakes), and then on part of a question I blanked on and wanted to come back to, I didn’t leave myself enough time to do so.
The questions also weren’t what I was expecting, so that threw me for a bit of a loop. But I don’t think there was much I could have done to be more prepared; I knew the material so I’ll just hope to make it up on the final.
At least I wasn’t the only one who didn’t do so great. I talked to a number of classmates afterwards and the consensus was that it didn’t go well for anyone. Oh well, at least it’s only worth 20%.
And speaking of school stuff, I better get ready to head to campus …
