My first exam is tomorrow afternoon. So, tonight I’m heading to Sven’s parents’ place to watch some Survivor and play some GameCube (I think Mike is coming too, not sure of Mandy’s whereabouts). Then I’ll come back into town in the morning when Sven goes to work. I’ve kept up nicely with the Stat 831 material this term, so studying the past couple of days has gone really smoothly. And since I didn’t lose any assignment marks and lost only 1 on the midterm, I’m in a pretty good position. I’m expecting the exam to be pretty tough, since the midterm didn’t seem that way at all, but there’s not much more preparation I can do.
I’ve started studying for my biostats exam on Monday. That one has me a little more worried, since we didn’t have a midterm and some of the assignment questions were pretty tricky, so I’m not entirely sure what to expect. Apparently copies of last year’s exam have been left in our mailboxes, so I’ll pick that up after the 831 exam. I have tomorrow morning and the rest of the weekend to study. But Prof Brown’s experimental design exam was pretty fair last year, so I shouldn’t worry too much.
In some respects, exams don’t seem like a big deal this time around. I’m really looking forward to heading back to London next week, just so I can kick back and relax and play some Halo 2 (on order, and will be delivered to London any day — didn’t want to tempt myself here in KW!). Next weekend is xmas party and Movie Day, and Kyle will be in town for that which is cool. Patti is also trying to get the time off so she can join us for her first movie day experience. Billie & Ryan won’t be making the trip from Ottawa, though.
Okay, must escape this rambling mode and get some more studying done before I head off to meet Sven.
