Whew, I’m tired! I’ve spent most of the past three days clearing out and cleaning my parents’ family room in the basement. I haven’t seen this much of the carpet in here in years! For a while now, this room has become a dumping ground for stuff, cleaning habits have gone downhill, and somehow my siblings have avoided doing serious chores. Three garbage bags, lots of vacuuming & dusting, numerous killed spiders, one demolished computer desk, two other moved computer desks, reorganizing for when we clean the carpets, and a relocated computer later and things are pretty much done! Kim just needs to sort through the xmas and Halloween decorations, then we can do the carpet cleaning. We picked out a new computer desk for down here, which we’ll order afterwards. My goal is to keep up momentum and get all this done early next week. If any tasks are still outstanding by the time I go back to Waterloo, who knows when it’ll get done.
I also now feel strangely productive for having done that cleaning. I think it’s time to get my Xbox hooked up to the big screen and sound system as reward.
