I will shred my adversaries. I’ll pull their eyes out just enough to turn them towards their mewling, mutilated faces.
I missed the Angel series finale while away in Montreal. Mike kept a copy of his download and I watched it on the bus trip to London. One of the best finishes I’ve ever seen. I hold out some small hope of future features/tv-movies … or dare I dream even picked up by another network … but if none of that materializes, this ending blew me away and was better than I could have hoped for.
In many ways, it outdid the Buffy finale. The last day spent with the characters was a gut-wrenching build-up to the climax, and there were a number of payoffs from watching five years of this excellent show. It was a perfect ending, IMO.
But so ends the reign of the Buffyverse on TV. Thanks to Joss W & company for their excellence … I eagerly await Serenity.
Screw the WB.
